We are in Westerstede, Germany. I can not get internet service for our computer so I am using our host Familys computer. Their keyboard is a little different and alot of things on the screen come up in German. So, I will try my best to let you know what we have been up to. Sorry I cannot send pictures on this computer either.
We arrived at the airport near Hamburg yesterday and were picked up by some of the families from Westerstede in their club vans. We had a long drive here and stopped at a large soccer statium along the way. It is for the HSV soccer team, a German National team from Hamburg.
When we got here, we met our host families at their club house and they feed us dinner there before we divided up and went to our seperate homes. We all have great families to stay with and all the girls seem to be getting along well.
Today we toured a castle and then went to the North Sea. It was a very different beach, and took a very long time to walk out to the water. The sand was very mucky and muddy but the girls had fun stepping into the mud, it came up to their knees and some even got a little bit stuck. After the sea, we went to a nearby lake and were able to swim in the lake and there was a very cool waterski thing there. It was a big hook that you held on to and it pulled you around in a circle around the lake. Only Emily and Bailey plus two of the German girls were brave enough to try it, or maybe they were the only ones who did not mind falling in front of the boys that were at the lake. Then we came back to the club house and had a pizza party.
Tomorrow we are off the shipping yard to see big ships. I will send pictures as soon as I can.
